L’Oreal Superstar Eyeliner, €11.99. Press sample featured.
If we skip over the Lorraine: A Goth in Avon years, I hardly ever used black liner until L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim came along. With it, I’m able to do pretty decent flicks in under a minute. The latest launch in the line is another gem, L’Oreal Superstar Eyeliner. It’s similar, but better if you want to go bold with your liner.
The nib is soft and has the perfect amount of give. It’s flexible enough to follow the curve of your eye, but it doesn’t wobble when you apply pressure. On that note, you hardly need pressure anyway. It glides continuously, distributing product with no drag or pull.
So, the performance and quality is in line with my first favourite. The update here is size. This one is big, and can create a thick, crisp line in a single swipe. It’s also tapered to a fine point, so there’s no hassle when it comes to lining the inner corner. Lay it flat for chunky, angled for skinny. Handy!
The shape’s also great for five-second flicks. If you press it where you’d draw your flick, with the thinnest end pointing up, you get an immediate wing transfer. Truth be told, I’ve laid it at the wrong angle a few times, which makes it look like your eye can tell time and it’s always a quarter past the hour. Once I figured out where to press it, it was plain sailing.
My only gripe is that it doesn’t put up much of a fight against humidity. Once my face gets muggy, it tends to transfer. Seeing as there are only twelve minutes of summer left, and those twelve minutes will be scattered over the next month, I think we’ll be okay. Thumbs up!

Mmm, no-goer for me if it transfers. I love felt tip eyeliners but ask a lot from them – easy application, no transfer, opaque, does not dry up etc! Currently using the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes pen, think it’s my third one, and while it’s expensive for the amount of product, it lasts ages and stays put all day. I’m always trying to find a cheaper alternative but nothing has matched up, yet. I feel like the only person who didn’t get one with the L’oreal super liner – I found it hard to get a solid black line and it dried up so quickly! Sorry, for the long ramble – enjoyed your post, andI’m v. envious of your liner skills

I swear by L´Oréal liners as I wear a wing almost every day, my favorite being the Super Liner in Carbon Gloss. That one stays put even through rain and sweat, at least on my face.

Ohh this looks interesting! I really like the L’oreal skinny eyeliner so I might like this too. I think that you can find great eyeliners at the drugstore which is a great way to save some money.

I have been wearing winged liner again and have been reaching for Rimmel waterproof gel liner everyday. I have not used pen liner for a long time, think it’s high time for me to pick up one again.

I was nodding along thinking that I’d have to pick this up until I read that it transfers – I have really watery eyes so this would be no good to me! Pity, because it sounds great otherwise! xx

Now that’s a nice clean wing! I haven’t tried this one out. I kinda already have my faves that I stick to, but this sounds nice too. And your brows look amazing by the way!

Hate when liner transfers! On a positive note your liner skills are strong, very envious!

That’s a perfect flick though probably not the right product for me if it can’t stay up in humidity.
I can do a flick but it’s never as crisp or sharp as this!

Nice flicks! I’m crap at liner but liking the pen nib on this.. I’m sure even I could manage this x
