Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Bond Girl Swatch, Photos, Review

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Bond Girl Swatch, €30. No press samples featured.

I wanted another Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick almost as soon as Sexy Sienna was in my hands. Now, months on, the treat-yo’-self fund hit the treat-yo’-self target again. After swatching until I had no space left on the left side of my body, I settled on Bond Girl.

The love I have for this lipstick makes Pixar’s Up love story seem like it was lifted from Jeremy Kyle.

The Matte Revolution range is a big bag of contradictions, the best parts of contrasting different lip products. As much as I love the feel, it’s a pain to describe, so we’re breaking it down and taking baby steps today.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Bond Girl Review

Hydration – In spades. I have lip balms that don’t take care of my lips like this does. It’s worlds’ away from traditional matte.

Texure – SO GOOD. It’s reassuringly firm, with a little bit of slip for comfort. It feels non-drying, but there’s not a lot in the texture to indicate the absolute boatload of hydration you get. It’s like the moisture-making ingredients sneak around, working without feeling oily, balmy or wet.

Finish – Softer matte, like Ruby Woo after a good soak and night’s sleep. It reflects just enough light to make lips look fuller, but the overall effect is definitely in the matte camp.

Bonus Magic – It really, really makes my lips look bigger. I read something in the brand material about how this works, but I got distracted by my big-mouthed reflection before I could make sense of it. Super plumping, very flattering.

Shade – The easy one! Bond Girl is rosy brown, emphasis on the rosy. If you like a 90s nude but fear the flatness of proper sepia tones, try this on. It’s a nod to the trend, in a much more flattering, less fad-driven shade.

I’m totally taken with it. Bond Girl and I forever and ever, to the tune of something by Ed Sheeran.

Such a gorgeous shade and the packaging is so pretty. I find it a bit expensive, but I guess you pay more for the quality.

Bond girl looks lovely on you! I just love her matte lipstick line, I think I have six shades already and ca’t get enough! Also I saw that she will be adding more shades to the line which is pretty exciting.

It’s gorgeous on you. I haven’t tried any of her matte ones yet, I’m afraid in case I like them 🙁 I love her K.I.S.S.I.N.G ones, they’re so wearable and lovely.

I love the way you write :). This shade looks beautiful on you and & goes well with your skin tone but I don’t think it would look half as decent on me for some reason X
