You can’t win ’em all, and I’ve just lost one. New matte lip stains like L’Oreal Glam Mattes and Bourjois Rouge Velvets are rocking my world, so I picked up a Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in the hopes that it’d be similarly brillzo.
Petal, €6.49 via Boots, is a baby pink with a chalky matte finish. It highlights dryness and devours what little moisture is left. So, yeah, no. Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream ain’t happening.
Cherry Sue fixes this by mixing in a balm, but I’m never bothered with making a product work when I have others that perform with no hassle.
There’s not much more waffling to be done – it feels uncomfortable, it looks bad and it let everyone down. Weh.
