Essence All About Nudes Eyeshadow palette, €4.09. Press samples featured.
If you follow me on Snapchat (lorrainehaigney), you’ll already have taken a peak at the zillion new beauty bits coming from Essence this autumn. You’ll also have seen heart-eye emojis dotted around this particular new product – the Essence All About Nudes Eyeshadow palette.
See, these shades are mostly light, neutral brows. That colour family is perfect for pale skin, especially on the pale skin of a person who can’t be bothered to blend for more than a minute. The second row of colours from the left are the key to a smooth and subtle fade from crease to brow bone.
All shades have soft shimmer, but the one on the bottom right is a much more sparkly. Its shot through with bigger chunks of silver glitter and is a bit more sheer. I either dust it all over or build it up in one spot. It’s a gorgeous, versatile shadow.
There aren’t any duds, but note that these aren’t high-colour, super pigmented shades. They’re a little dusty and lean more sheer than opaque. I like that because it cuts the odds of packing too much on or ending up with harsh, unblended lines. These loosely pressed shadows blend themselves, basically. You’re not going to get a dramatic cut-crease look, but this is your man for buffing on in the morning, pre-coffee.
I’ve not tried the other colourways, but I think I can spare four quid for the Bronze edition. Pix below!

These look amazing, they all have such pretty shades! xo

I was wondering about these but had the suspicion on the lack of pigmentation. I do like the looks of the bronze palette, will definitely need to swatch first.

EVERYONE loves the Vintage one! It was my least favourite of the bunch, maybe because I don’t wear colour too well.

These are £4!? I wish Essence wasn’t as tricky to find in Scotland. Looks like this collection is going to be beautiful. I think I’d go for Vintage first x

Euro, so less in sterling! I think, anyway 🙂
