I’m on a hair-styling kick. Years of letting my curls spring around the place like an auburn tornado came to a sudden end when I started reading The Beauty Department. I’m full of messy-bun notions. That, combined with general weather battering, has left it drier than usual. I’m still loving the Mark Hill MiraclOILicious hair treatment but decided to step up my routine and include a more nourishing daily conditioner.
Enter Argania Moisture Repair Conditioner, €10.49. It’s packed with oils (sweet almond and argan) so makes quick work of dryness and adds healthy shine. While not marketed as a curl-treating product, the inclusion of behentrimonium methosulfate – a taming, de-tangling and frizz-fighting hero – means those with more textured hair (me! that’s me!) will get on particularly well.
The icing on the cake is its de-friggin-licious scent. It’s the reason I splurged my long-saved Boots points without a second thought. To my nose, there are delicate notes of vanilla, baby powder and toffee. While not overpowering, it does last for most of the day.
It’s a hard worker and, with its pretty branding and yummy scent, it feels like a little bit of luxe. I’ll definitely be investigating more of the range when funds allow.
