Penneys is expanding its beauty range. From the first week in September, we’ll be able to buy empty shadow palettes and individual shadow pans – the likes of which MAC and Inglot have popularised.
A Penneys Custom Eyes nine pan palette will set you back just €3 and a four pan palette will be €2. Shadows cost €1 each, so your maximum spend on a full kit will be €12.
It’s ultra affordable, as expected, but first glimpses of the shadows are promising. Credit to one of my favourite MUAs Eimear McElheron for swatching a selection of shades at the launch party. Her picks of the bunch look opaque, smooth and the shades are very wearable.
If you want to test them in person, haunt your local Penneys from early September and get ready to hold your ground in the beauty department.
