Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review

Lorraine_Haigney 20th March 2014

Damn, girls, why didn’t anyone tell me about Revlon Nearly Naked foundation,  €13.99? It’s pale, comfortable over dry skin and has a beautifully natural finish – all the facets that a product needs to earn a place in my day-to-day makeup bag.

Really runny in texture, a little goes a long way. It blends without much effort and leaves skin looking uniform, brightened and, most importantly, just like really good skin. The finish is subtly dewy, creating a base that seems barely there but actually packs decent medium coverage.

As this feels so nice over dry areas, I expected off-the-Donegal-coast style waves of excess oil to come through by lunch. Not a bit of it! I use a sheet of blotting paper and am good to go – nothing as disastrous as expected. Altogether, a grand lad for the combination-skin types among us.

The bottle is pump-free, meaning my hands usually end up makeup-covered. It’s a bugbear for me, and I have to take points away because of it. Ain’t nobody got time for shaking, pouring and spilling – not when the new season of SVU is in session. Side: Stabler is coming back, I can feel it in my waters.

With broad spectrum SPF protection, hydrating power and oil control, this is right on the mark for a trans-seasonal base.

Revlon are crafty beggers with their foundations, this looks really natural and pretty on you!

This is a lovely foundation. The only down side is that there is no pump on the bottle so it is so easy to pour out too much product.

I’m forever doing that! Same goes for MAC and Nars, so I can’t be too mad when this is 1/4 of the price.

I just bought this and was thinking about doing a review, but I think now that the color I got is not a perfect match – I have to mix it :/ But I do like the formula a lot! Just hate that there’s no pump! Your face looks flawless!
