Rimmel Match Perfection, €9.95, in Ivory is the last of the Rimmel foundations in our Pale Foundation Series.
This is the 2nd palest in the range, the lightest being Porcelain. It’s just about as dark as I can get away with, and is a few shades deeper than Wake Me Up or Stay Matte. Sun, help a blogger out and get shining, please.
I love a good dupe, and Match Perfection reminds me of YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat. It’s thick, creamy and moisturising with a radiant finish – dupe status attained.
As a relevant side, my pal Makeup Monster thinks the Match Perfection blush is a ringer for Benefit Hervana.
It’s a bit too thick to work in with fingers – unless you’ve got time to spare. My Real Techniques Expert Face Brush makes quick work of the thicker texture, and the combo ends up looking natural, fresh and bright.
The radiant finish comes with medium coverage, and it holds up well against oil – a point seconded by Sparkle in Sequins and her 10 hour workday.
So, Rimmel Match Perfection is nice. Just very nice. Nothing new or jazzy, no skin care bells and whistles, but a solid foundation that’s well worth the budget price tag.
