As the saying (kinda) goes, you never miss your bottle of antioxidant-infused body lotion until it runs dry. It was only when I started pumping air on Roger and Gallet Lait Des Bienfaits, €14.75, that I realised how much I’d been loving it.
I like my body products to impart a strong scent, but it can be difficult to find a nose-pleasing lotion that isn’t loaded with chemicals. This is paraben and colourant free, formulated around natural ingredients that bring antioxidant benefits and heavy hydration to the table.
Its citrus scent is saved from falling into the run-of-the-mill fresh fragrance category by a muskier, almost masculine note. It’s like a sweeter cousin of sports cologne, perfect for sharing with male cohabitants and a quirky break from floral or vanilla-based lotions.
The moisturising benefits are typical of a light lotion, leaving skin soft and comfortable. Great for daily use, as it’s quickly absorbed, but I make sure to use a more intense body cream or butter during these cold months.
An altogether grand fella for uplifting morning showers, you can pick one up and Marks and Spencer and in chemists.

I’ve never heard of this brand before, but it sounds really lovely. Antioxidants? Yes, please!

Oh, really? It’s widely available here – love the stuff. Really recommend this and the dry oils if you ever see it in a shop.
