Superdrug has relaunched B., its vegan beauty line with a great ethos but awful name. Am I wrong?

The range will include cosmetics, skin care, beauty tools and men’s grooming products. Everything is cruelty free – some vegan-labelled products aren’t, weirdly – and nothing will break the bank. Most items will set you back less than €12.

There are some nice touches – the shade range in complexion products isn’t exactly extensive, but it’s not as beige as a lot of chemist brands. The skin care range is cheap and cheerful, it’s got a does-what-it-says-on-the-tin charm that I think a lot of consumers will appreciate. No The Ordinary style confusion, no Sunday Riley style gushing.

It’s a promising range, overall. I think there’s huge demand for vegan cosmetics that don’t look kitsch and handmade.

If you’re interested, everything is available from the Superdrug website right now and there’s a sale too!
